Ruins at Beit Shean

Tonight we're staying at a Youth Hostel in Beit Shean......and the youth have arrived!! Watched
2 bus loads come in shortly after
we did. One thing is for sure, Kids are just KIDS all over the world!!
We visited Qumran earlier today. This is the place where ancient manuscripts were discovered by a young boy in 1947.....the Dead Sea Scrolls.
At Beit Shean, we strolled through an archeological site where 18 layers of civilization have been excavated. An entire city....with arenas, Roman bathhouses, shops, etc. David, of course, was marveling at the magnitude of some of the construction. Maybe the most memorable place was the public
latrine.....this little video says it all!!
